Bank Holiday Weekend Routine!

Bank Holiday Weekend Routine!

Bank Holiday Weekend Routine

How do you kick off the perfect Bank Holiday August weekend? We’ve put together a blog of our favourite ways to spend the 3 day mini-break and create a new and relaxed headspace ready for the week ahead. We always feel the need to catch up on sleep when the Bank Holiday’s creep around so as well as our tactical naps, we thought we’d share our top tips below…

Picturesque Walk

Studies show that exercise is a great way to release endorphins and improve your general and mental wellbeing. Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier says the NHS website, so considering what we may be indulging in later in the weekend, we think starting off with a walk is a great first step (if you’ll pardon the pun.)

After a picturesque walk it’s time to soak all of your troubles away and unwind in a bubble wonderland. Fill your tub with warm water and pour in your most luxurious bubble bath, here's our latest fave by Molton Brown creating a heavenly aroma and tub that Chandler Bing would be jealous of! If you haven't already checked out our blog on Bathscaping, check it out here.

Face Mask & Skincare

After your decadent bath time, indulge your skin in a face mask (the skincare kind) and allow your skin to be rid of the pollutions from the week before. Our favourite anti-pollution mask is this one from The Body Shop. After relaxing with your mask for the recommended time, follow on with your usual skincare routine. Your skin will be feeling super soft and you’ll have a radiant glow!

Start a new book!

Bank Holidays are all about me-time for us at PYL, and engrossing yourself in a new book is a great way to escape the realities of the world. Our Sales Manager, Carla, recommends The Guest List, an easy-to-read but entertaining and capturing thriller. We might have to jump on board and have a read too!

Cheeky Takeaway!

Finally, Bank Holiday’s are not complete without the best treat of them all, a takeaway! Whether you like them a bit posh and order in a heat-it-up-yourself restaurant meal or go for the good old classics of Indian or Chinese, it is a serious must to end your bank holiday ritual.
